A while back – amidst the white out that was Scotland’s best ever ski season – the phone rang at GO-WHERE HQ and Mountain Biking UK magazine’s editor Doddy asked if we’d be interested in helping organise a mini weekender roadtrip for them?! Check out their May issue to find out how – despite the weather – we managed to cram in some of the cream of Scottish riding, and still got them back in time for their flights!

Ever bashful, they somehow managed to squeeze this interview from me whilst we were covering the miles in the van and on the trails.

Surviving the Winter with ITV

We got a nice surprise at the beginning of the year when ITV invited us to take part in a feature highlighting our new business venture, and to see how we’ve been affected by the snowiest winter ever seen. The sun’s out now, so white out conditions are looking like a thing of the past…aren’t they?!

Besides being fanatical explorers with a mountain (excuse the pun!) of accumulated knowledge to share with our clients, one of the truly unique aspects of the GO-WHERE services are our bike taxi / bike shuttle options.

If you’ve ever fancied taking on some epic riding but are apprehensive about venturing too far from the purpose-built trail centres, then get in touch with us to discuss what we can do for you.

Maybe there’s a point-to-point adventure brewing, a trip through some of Scotland’s majestic glens that needs transport at either end to make it all come together. Talk to us about it, because there’s every chance we’ve walked or ridden it and can provide the support you need to make it happen.

You may even be weiging up the limited options to transfer your bikes and yourselves to the start of your Lands End to John O’Groats (LEJOG) or John O’Groats to Lands End (JOGLE) expedition – we can help with that too.

At GO-WHERE client enjoyment, safety and comfort is our number one concern. And although we hope never to have to make use of it, that’s why when we wanted a first aid qualification suited to the needs of adventurous visitors using the GO-WHERE transport service, there was only one suitable choice – BASP’s two day emergency outdoors first aid course held at the amazing Slochd Mhor Lodge in the Cairngorms.

If you’re serious about enjoying the outdoors, then a small investment in first aid knowledge might just be right for you too.
